Terms of Service

RoleForge is a Discord bot that helps server owners set up and manage reaction roles and auto roles. Using RoleForge in your server means you agree to these terms.

01Using the bot

You must have permission to manage roles in any server where you install RoleForge — normally this means you're the server owner or a moderator with the right permissions. You're responsible for the roles, reactions, and messages you configure through the bot.

02Discord's rules still apply

RoleForge operates inside Discord, so Discord's own Terms of Service and Community Guidelines apply on top of these terms. If your use of RoleForge breaks Discord's rules, it breaks ours too.

03Acceptable use

Don't use RoleForge to:

Set up roles that harass, discriminate against, or exclude people based on protected characteristics
Spam reaction prompts or abuse the bot's rate limits
Attempt to exploit, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the bot's normal operation

04Availability

RoleForge is provided as-is and best-effort. It may go offline for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control, and features may change or be removed over time. There's no guaranteed uptime.

05Removal

We can remove RoleForge's access to a server, or restrict a specific user's ability to trigger the bot, if it's being used to break these terms or Discord's rules.

06Liability

RoleForge is a hobby project, not a commercial service with guarantees. To the extent permitted by law, RoleForge and its developer aren't liable for lost roles, misconfigured servers, or other indirect issues arising from use of the bot.

Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited under Australian Consumer Law.

07Changes

These terms may be updated as the bot changes. Continuing to use RoleForge after an update means you accept the revised terms. Check back here if you want to stay current.

08Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
